DESCRIPTION:Joy\, Garba\, and Togetherness at Gayatri Training Institute \nThe classrooms of Gayatri Training Institute in Tarsali\, Vadodara\, were filled with a different kind of energy during the garba festival. The Jaksh Foundation hosted a vibrant Navratri celebration for the trainees.. \nMoving away from the sewing machines and makeup kits for a day\, our students and staff came together to honour the traditions of Gujarat through dance\, food\, and friendship. \nEvent Highlights \n\nRhythm of the Institute : The floors of the institute echoed with the sound of taalis as students performed Garba in a circle\, celebrating the strength and unity of our community.\n \nSweet Moments : To keep the energy high\, everyone enjoyed a delicious spread of traditional snacks and sweets\, sharing a meal like one big family.\n \nCapturing the Glow : The day was filled with a flurry of photos and selfies. It was wonderful to see our makeup and tailoring students looking their festive best\, radiating confidence and happiness.\n \nFun at “Home” : By hosting the event at the institute itself\, we turned our place of learning into a place of celebration\, proving that work and play go hand-in-hand.\n\n\nThis celebration was a tribute to the hard work of our students throughout the year. At the Jaksh Foundation\, we believe in nurturing not just professional skills\, but the spirit of every individual.

SUMMARY:Uttarayan Celebration
DESCRIPTION: “Kai Po Che” \nThe celebration of Uttarayan at our Jaksh Street School in Bhavnagar was a vibrant spectacle of colour\, joy\, and community spirit. The atmosphere was electric from the early morning as the sky above the school transformed into a kaleidoscopic canvas of soaring kites. The event was organized with the heartfelt goal of sharing the festive cheer with all our students\, ensuring every child felt the thrill of the “Kai Po Che” spirit. \nEvent Highlights \nThe day was marked by several meaningful activities that brought smiles to the faces of the children: \n•  Kite Distribution: To ensure inclusive participation\, the school distributed high-quality\, colorful kites and spools of thread (Manjha) to every student. The excitement was palpable as children picked out their favorite designs. \n•  Traditional Flavors: No Uttarayan is complete without the iconic taste of Gud Chikki (Jaggery and Peanut Brittle). We provided fresh\, crunchy Chikki to all the children\, fueling their energy for a day of kite flying while honoring the traditional winter flavors of Gujarat. \n•  Skill Sharing: Teachers and older students spent time mentoring the younger ones\, teaching them the delicate art of balancing a kite and the technique of “Dhil” (releasing the thread) to catch the wind. \nThe event was more than just a festival; it was a beautiful display of the cultural heritage of Bhavnagar. Seeing the children of Jaksh Street School laughing\, competing in friendly kite duels\, and sharing sweets created memories that will last far beyond the season. The celebration successfully fostered a sense of togetherness and pure childhood delight\, making this year’s Uttarayan truly unforgettable for our school community.

DESCRIPTION:While the sky was full of kites\, our team was on the ground saving lives. On January 14th and 15th\, 2026\, Mahadev Pashu Pakshi Seva Shelter Home organized a massive rescue camp in Bhavnagar. \nWe treated dozens of pigeons and other birds trapped in lethal kite strings. From delicate surgeries to removing tangled manjha\, our team worked around the clock to give these innocent creatures a second chance at flight. \nWatch our journey of compassion and see the impact of your support.

SUMMARY:Republic Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Unfluring of Nation Flag Ceremony\n\nThe event begins with a formal welcome by a lead volunteer. The flag Unfurling should be the focal point\, ideally performed by a respected elder from the community or one of the top-performing students from the street school\, to boost their confidence. \n\n“Veer Gatha” (Freedom Fighter Introduction)\n\nThis is the heart of our event. Since the children are dressed as freedom fighters : \n\nVisuals : Children’s were dressed in look alike getups of many freedom fighters (e.g.\,  Gandhiji\, Rani Laxmibai\, Dr. Ambedkar\, etc…).\n\n\n Cultural Performances\n\nThe street school children performed on a medley of patriotic songs. \n\nSuggested Tracks : Nanha Muna Rahi Hu\, Maa Tujhe Salaam\, or Local Gujarati Patriotic Folk Songs with Small Kit.\n\n\nVolunteer Roles\n\nVolunteers of Jaksh Foundation had manage the event efficiently. \n\n Snacks & Closing\n\nEnd the day on a high note with a speech of appreciation for the children and distribution of snacks.
