The Jaksh Foundation is a community-rooted, not-for-profit organization committed to uplifting the most vulnerable sections of society through compassionate, inclusive, and sustainable interventions. Founded on the principles of empathy, dignity, and service, we are headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, and actively operate across the Vadodara and Bhavnagar districts, including their surrounding rural and urban communities.

Our mission is to bridge critical gaps in public welfare systems by addressing immediate needs while simultaneously working to build long-term, resilient solutions. Through close collaboration with local communities, government institutions, and grassroots partners, we design and implement programs that are locally relevant, culturally sensitive, and people-cantered.

Our Beginning

A Simple Act, A Powerful Mission

The story of Jaksh Foundation began not with grand plans, but with a simple, heartfelt gesture offering home-cooked meals to postpartum mothers in government hospitals who had no access to nutritious food during recovery. What started as a small act of care soon revealed the deeper reality of systemic gaps in public welfare and health services, particularly for women and children from marginalized communities.

Moved by this insight, a group of socially conscious individuals came together to formalize the effort, giving birth to Jaksh Foundation a platform where compassion could be transformed into structured, sustainable action. What began in hospital wards soon expanded as the Foundation listened closely to the needs of the communities it served.

In particular, the economic vulnerability of women-especially widows, single mothers, and those from marginalized communities and economically disadvantaged household families became painfully evident. Many lacked accesses not only to basic resources but also to the skills and opportunities needed to achieve financial independence.

To address this, the Foundation launched vocational training programs in tailoring, beauty services, and small-scale entrepreneurship, empowering women to build self-reliant, dignified livelihoods. These programs are more than just skill-building they represent a pathway to confidence, respect, and lasting empowerment.

Since its inception, Jaksh Foundation has grown into a trusted grassroots organization led by empathy, driven by action, and sustained by the power of community. Our journey continues to be guided by the belief that even the smallest act, when rooted in compassion, can become the foundation for meaningful change.

Core Programs and Impact Areas

Maternity & Child Nutrition Support

Operating in government hospitals like S.S.G. Hospital, our daily nutrition program provides fresh, home-cooked meals to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and paediatric patients, ensuring they receive the nourishment necessary for recovery and growth.

Education Empowerment for Underserved Children

We support school readiness, retention, and learning recovery for children from underprivileged communities through school supply distributions, academic support, and community engagement.

Women’s Vocational Training & Livelihood Support

Over 100 women and girls from historically marginalized communities, low-income households and widows have received training in tailoring, beauty services, and small-scale entrepreneurship, empowering them with skills, confidence, and financial independence.

Animal Welfare and Husbandry

We run rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for injured, abandoned, and aging cattle, providing safe shelter, medical care, and dignity in their later years honouring both ethical responsibility and cultural tradition.

Environmental Sustainability & Awareness

Through tree plantation drives, Eco-awareness campaigns, and community clean-up efforts, we encourage environmental responsibility at the grassroots level and promote climate-conscious behavior in both urban and rural populations.
